Dr Amara was inspired by his grand father who was the sole health provider in a town for a radius of 200 miles. He was called the ‘temple doctor’. He provided advanced treatment options which includes X ray technology for the first time to this small town in Southern India. My interest in helping pain patients comes from personal experience. Sentinel, among is my mother who was diagnosed with terminal stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. This was the time, when I was 11 and my sister was 8 yrs old. She was struggling with pain and suffering. As most of us know, her life expectancy was only for few months. My parents, family and friends have been supportive and encouraging though this process. These events molded me to explore medical sciences. I understand that in the context of suffering and pain, most of us have an opportunity to see ordinary life events with better clarity and purpose.
My mission after these events, was to help people who have pain ailments, and find ways to improve their quality of life.
